ingredients
- 25g fresh yeast or half a packet dry yeast
- 50g butter
- 200g milk
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 0.5 teaspoons cardemom
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 330g wheat flour
- raisins if you like
#Procedure
- melt the butter, microwave is easiest
- mix in milk, it should reach about body temperature
- add yeast and sugar and stir to dissolve
- add cardamom, salt and most of the flour
- mix well, and add more flour until the dough is smooth and “springy” and releases the bowl– you may need to add more flour sometimes.
- cover bowl and leave to rise for 1 h in a warm place.
- Form the dough– 12 round rolls, or you can roll a flat sheet and cover with cinnamon, suger and butter, roll up and slice into cinnamon rolls
- leave to rise 1h
- brush rolls with milk
- bake at 240C for 5-8 min
